Currently, Over 70% of people worldwide suffering from mental health issues. Just as it is important to maintain good physical health, it is also important to be aware of Mental Health Protection.

In the realization of Mental Health Protection, two students of the 1st batch (2005-2006) of the Department of Psychology, Jagannath University, named Md. Ariful Haque Rifat and Mahadi-Ul-Morshed, formed a mental health care Institution; Named "Bondhu"

The Motto of this organization is - Interest, Practice, Acquisition. The Slogan is: "Industrious Will Go Ahead, Will Be In The Lead". On June 4, 2016, the path of 'BONDHU' started through Facebook page. In the beginning, efforts were made to reach out to all mental health services through various slogans, contents, campaigns, various discussions on mental health, etc.
In the aftermath of the deadly virus Covid-19 in 2020, BONDHU' started their activities at the field level on July 15, 2020 to work on the mental health of the people.
